“Armenian Lifelong Learning League” is a union of 12 NGOs active in the field of adult education and learning. The League seeks to integrate into local and international LLL processes and practices through effective collaboration with various stakeholders of the field. We are a young but growing network of single minded organisations which recognize and promote learning at all ages and through various forms (formal, non-formal and informal).

Our Vision is to become a leading organisation in the field of lifelong learning (LLL) development in Armenia by bringing together the potential of civil society around itself.

Our Mission is to support the formation of an efficiently acting and sustainably developing lifelong learning system for the sake of continuous personal, civic and professional development of an individual.
Our Goals are:
- to raise public awareness about the role of LLL in developing knowledge society in Armenia
- to continuously improve LLL strategy, policy and legislation in Armenia
- to promote social partnership in the field of LLL
- to develop human resources in the field of LLL
- to integrate into the local and international LLL networks and processes
- to support member organisations' institutional development and advocacy in the field of LLL

The Armenian Lifelong Learning League is sponsored by dvv international branch office in Armenia which is the first organisation to value the essential role of adult education and lifelong learning in Armenia and up to date works on establishing learning society and public awareness raising about the core issues of adult education and lifelong learning. dvv international has been implementing various projects aimed at adult education and lifelong learning in social, economic, political and cultural fields.

 

Our partners:

Armenian-German Initiative centre (AGIC) NGO is a public organization focused on educational and cultural issues since 1993. AGIC promote to the intercultural dialogue development between German Speaker Countries and Armenia in educational, socioeconomic spheres, support to increase the German language speakers in Armenia through trainings, literature, video and audio books, etc. The NGO organize also the exchange programs between Armenian and German youth/professionals for better understanding each cultural and educational history. AGIC NGO provides conferences, seminars, round tables, trainings, campaigns through Mass Media, also organize exhibitions, songs, meetings. Finally the organization plan to design the know how forum concept.

“Global Developments” Fund (GDF) is an NGO established in December 2001. The GDF’s mission is to support development and international integration processes in Armenia focusing on the reforms of education, vocational training, employment, youth and women affairs, as well as other social spheres. The Fund provides research, expertise, informational, analytical works, consultancy and services in different fields particularly collaborating with National authorities and agencies as well as international organisations and other local and foreign NGOs. GDF also provides a full package of events (conferences, workshops, dissemination events, round tables, awareness raising and advocacy campaigns, foreigners’ missions, etc.) organisation and management services in Armenia as well as in other countries, taking care of administrative tasks and logistics but also of conceptual and content related issues. GDF has a large pool of highly skilled experts in different fields such as public administration, employment and labour market, education and vocational training, finances, sociology, economics, management and in other sectors. Since 2000 GDF is recognised as a UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre in Armenia.

“Professional education reforms” NGO promotes the reforms, development and efficiency enhancement of the vocational education and training system in the Republic of Armenia, further the integration of the vocational education and training system of the Republic of Armenia to the international educational system, foster the development of documents, national educational standards, curricula, subject programs and modules, textbooks, educational-methodical handbooks and recommendations regulating vocational education and training, contribute to the development and introduction of new training methods in VET, support the human resource development in VET, affording opportunities for all to reach professional development and success during whole life.

“Center for Alternative Development" NGO (the old name “Teachers’ Union” NGO) has worked closely with international and national organizations in many community develepment, educational and social programs. Its members have participated in: IREX ELT (Elementary Level Training for Teachers); MLT (Middle Level Training for Teachers); LT (Leadership Training for School Directors); PST (Pre-Service Training for Teacher Education Students); Peace Corps; Armenian Civic Education Program; Project Harmony ZANG Program (Armenian Legal Socialization Project); UNICEF Life skills; UNICEF Healthy Life; National Educational Institute Teacher Training; Acción Contra el Hombre Community Development Project; Canter for Democracy and Civic Society Community Development School/Sisian Branch; IREX IATP (Internet Access and Training Program). Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (dvv international) and Kashubian Folk High School (KFHS).

The "Scientific and Educational Center for National Development" NGO was founded in 2000 and has 16 members, including 7 PhDs. The mission statement of  includes the following:
-to promote the development of Armenian Educational System and facilitate its integration with the International Educational System
-to increase public awareness on the issues related to the development of civil society in Armenia in accordance to the existing legislation to promote national development through the better organized educational system.
